Reporting to: Store Manager
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking skilled and motivated Blockman to join our dynamic team. The Blockman will play a pivotal role in cutting meat products to the quality standards of the Butchery manager’s production plans. Apply Food Safety standards. Know how to handle butchery equipment’s

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Implement daily production plans control stock.
Conduct spot checks on scales to ensure they are correctly calibrated
Make sure correct scale labels are used for the correct products with the correct sell by dates 0 Ins
Ensure the correct packaging is used for specific products
All equipment is cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift using suitable cleaning agents.
Cleaning schedules are implemented according to the butchery manager’s requirements.
Follow systems used to ensure that all customer orders are produced to quality standards in the correct time.
Cut a variety of meat species in the most cost-effective way.
De-boning varieties of meat..
Process and manufacture a variety of processed meat products including sausages and mince.
SPAR STORE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Grade 12/NQF level 4 qualification.
Excellent customer service skills.
1-3 years blockman experience.
Problem solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays.
High level of integrity.
